Almond and Coconut Chocolate Granola

MAKES: 400g

Total Cooking Time: 35 minutes


Ingredients:


  • 200g oats

  • 75g raw almonds*

  • 30g pumpkin seeds

  • 15g coconut flakes, raw

  • 15g cacao powder, unsweetened

  • 60ml coconut oil, organic

  • 60ml honey**

  • Pinch of salt


Method:


Preheat the oven to 160 degrees celsius.


  1. In a bowl, combine the oats, almonds, pumpkin seeds and cacao powder.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the coconut oil, honey and salt, until the ingredients are well combined.

  3. Then, add the dry ingredients (step 1) to the mixture of coconut oil, honey and salt. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

  4. Distribute the mixture to a lined oven dish.

  5. Put the granola in a preheated oven (160 Degrees Celsius) for 15 mins until golden brown.

  6. Let the granola cool in the dish so it hardens into clusters.

  7. Put into a large mason jar or an air-tight container to keep your granola crispy and fresh.


*If the almonds are roasted already, you can add them once the granola is cooked.

**Use maple syrup for a vegan alternative.
