Ingredients:
Pastry:
300g Doves Farm Organic Plain Flour
100ml Sunflower Oil
Pinch Himalayan Salt
Water
Strawberry-Chia Seed Jam:
300g Fresh Strawberries
3 tbsp Good Earth Chia Seeds
2 tbsp maple syrup
Toppings:
White Chocolate, melted
100s and 1000s
Method:
Add the flour and the Himalayan salt and mix.
Pour the oil into the mixture and mix to form a crumbly mixture.
Add the water needed to bring to a dough with your hands.
Wrap the dough tightly and place in the fridge for 30minutes - 1hour.
Put some flour on the surface and start rolling out the dough. Cut the dough into squares or rectangles, as preferred.
Brush the edges with plant-based milk (we used Alpro Almond milk), and spoon some jam in the middle. Then, place the other half of the pastry and use a fork or a toothpick to seal.
Brush the top of each pop-tart with an egg or milk. Then, create around 6 holes in each with a toothpick.
Bake for 20-24 minutes at 170 degrees celsius.
Once ready, allow to cool on the tray for 5 minutes and on the rack until cooled fully.
Top with melted white chocolate and 100s and 1000s.
